Monumental first ever Bluetit event at Llys-y-Fran
So…we’ve now had some time to decompress (as much as possible!) and reflect after our first EVER Welsh event, and as a team we’d like to say a BIG THANK YOU to absolutely everyone who was involved with the day, and for their part in making it such a big success!
For everyone who came and swam with us, a massive thank you and well done from all of us at Bluetit HQ! It’s because of your involvement that we can continue supporting the Bluetit community, and seeing all the Bluetittery that goes on at these events reminds us why we run them. We treasure every single one of you, and you’re also able to say you were among the first skin-swimmers to enter the Llys-y-frân waters!
As always the inflatable race was the one that gave us the biggest smile so thanks to all those who gave us the biggest laughs attempting to control their steeds. (Head over to our socials to see the race in action).
Thank you to everyone who took part in the raffle that raised £520, there were some absolutely gorgeous prizes and we know that Fiona was particularly pleased to have a drawing of Sian done by the fabulous Lesa Welch.
And adding to the great atmosphere of the day, we’d like to thank all the stallholders who joined us from far and wide to be part of the day. Big thanks to: Mermaid’s Purses, Big Bold and Beautiful, PETH, Lesa Welch Art, ddipp, Wild and Free Zing, West Wales Rivers Trust, RNLI, and Welsh Water. Also thanks to Câr-y-Môr, Outdoor Swimmer Shop, and Nalu Beads for donating prizes to our raffle as they weren’t able to join us in person!
The brand new Bluetit x Ddipp robe was revealed and pre-orders were taken for the lucky few, did someone say spotty lining?
And where would we be without the help of our wonderful volunteers who’s contribution to the day was invaluable. Along with the brilliant staff at Llys-y-frân, you all made the day possible for everyone, in true Bluetit spirit! We wouldn’t be able to do it without you!
And lastly a big thanks to the wonderful Welsh weather for sweeping away the grey clouds and giving us glorious sunshine for the day!
For those Bluetits that weren’t able to make it to this event, do keep an eye out in future newsletters, as we’ll soon be announcing the date and location of our next one!
