The Great Tit Weekend 2021

Postponed until: September 24th-26th 2021, St David’s, Pembrokeshire.

BOOKING IS OPEN!

As we’re sure you understand, the logistics of putting on an event like the Great Tit Weekend this year are rather different to last. With shared bunk rooms, hot tubs, group swims, and Saturday night frivolities, we as a crew just don’t think that we will be able to give you the fun-filled, chilled out event that we all so desperately want.

So we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone this event. What that essentially means is this year’s event isn’t happening.

BUT we have planned next year’s Great Tit Weekend to take place on 24th-26th September 2021! ‘Postponing’ this year’s event means that your ticket rolls over automatically to next year. If you can’t make those dates next year, you can request a refund through Eventbrite.

We look forward to seeing you all next year, and in the meantime we wish you good health, lots of laughter and some bloomin’ beautiful swims!

PLEASE READ THE PARAGRAPH BELOW BEFORE THE URGE TO CALL THE BUNKHOUSE RISES WITHIN….

Please DO NOT contact St Davids Bunk Barns for booking or information as everything is being organised by The Bluetit dream team.

Some of you have already called the bunkhouse! Enough now… please don’t call the bunkhouse.

The bunk house is booked, the hot tubs ready to bubble, Mike is poised for another night of entertaining 100 very boisterous humans, Ben is bracing himself for the track requests and the weekend crew are in training for a swift check in process! SO ladies and gentlemen…In conjunction with TYF and St Davids Bunk Barns, The Bluetits invite you to come along and unite in a second celebration of our absolute bloody marvellousness with like minded souls from around the UK and beyond and enjoy a tittyliscious weekend of swimming, eating, yoga, running, nordic walking, craft workshops, swim/coasteering, music and shennanigans in Pembrokeshire, West Wales.

If you choose the walk and swim all your gear will be transported back to Porthsele either by boat or car. As its a low tide it may well be possible to walk back to Porthsele along the beach and therefore the swim distance is also up to you as you will be able to leave the sea and walk to the sand whenever you want….see picture below

20.30 Let the merriment begin… start off with open mic then live music with Mike and round it all off with a disco with Ben.

The open mic is a chance for anyone and everyone to take to the stage. Anything goes ladies and gentlemen! Singing, instruments, comedy, poems. Mike brings along all his instruments which you are welcome to use and be part of the band with him at the helm or bring your own of course. Mike is very experienced at hosting open mic nights but to facilitate the smooth running of the evening an idea of what you would like to perform would be good. We will have a list ready on the Friday evening for everyone to add their requests to. The 2019 performances were superb…no pressure then….

WEEKEND COST PER PERSON IS £125

SOLD OUT!

We have been blown away by the response and cannot believe that we sold out of tickets so quickly! If you didn’t manage to grab one follow this link to Eventbrite – click on the tickets button and join the waitlist for any cancellations.

Cost will be per person for a bunk bed in a shared room with all meals mentioned above. Fruit, tea and toast available all weekend and there will be Prosecco (alcohol and non alcoholic) available with your meal on Saturday night. Vegan and non vegan cake and hot drinks also included on the Saturday Porthsele swim. And of course you get Great Tit Weekend 2020 badge!

All extra curricular activities are charged per activity as mentioned above. Payment will be direct to the activity provider on the day but you will be prompted to register your interest in whichever activity when you book your place on the weekend.

On all organised group activities we will be accompanied by qualified TYF guides.

Parking is free in the evening at Solva and for this weekend free at Pencarnan Farm

No activity is compulsory. If you don’t fancy something then no pressure to partake.

Beach swim locations will be subject to change if the TYF guides deem the conditions on the day we intend to visit them unconducive for swimming. We have plenty of beautiful beaches on both sides of the peninsular so we can usually find somewhere else to swim if conditions are not good on a particular beach. The decision will be made on the day and we will go with whatever the guides advise.

Anyone deemed to be under the influence of alcohol before any of the swims will not be able to swim and given to TYF guide Jemeima who will proceed to impart her extensive knowledge on the breeding habits of anemones until said participant has sobered up.
