When we get these really low tides it is usually possible to walk from Porthsele beach to Whitesands beach along the sand that is exposed. This only happens a few times a year.

WEEKEND COST

Booking for the 50 bunkhouse beds we have on offer and the 50 camping/campervan pitches is now open. Link to booking site below..

https://tyf.com/pages/adventure-weekends

Cost is £100 per person full board regardless of whether you stay in the bunkhouse or in your own camper van/tent. We are providing all meals for everyone because we want the meal times to be as much a part of the weekends socialising as the swimming. The dining hall at Celtic camping has been complete refurbished for the 2019 season and now boasts an outdoor decking area which looks out towards the camping fields with the Irish Sea beyond.

If you bringing a family member who wants nothing to do with the shenanigans then they will just pay the usual Celtic camping prices directly to Celtic at the weekend.

On all organised group activities we will be accompanied by 4 qualified TYF guides.

We have chosen beaches for the group swims where parking is free.

Both Caerfai and Porthsele are accessed by paths that incline down to gain access to them, neither too far from where your vehicle will be however. At Caerfai there are pebbles and rocks to negotiate before you reach the sand, Porthesle is straight onto sand. Both beaches are dog friendly. There is a parking fee at all public car parks in St David’s and Abereiddi and Whitesands beaches. Anereiddy is dog friendly, Whitesands is not.

No activity is compulsory. If you don’t fancy something then no pressure to partake.

Beach swim locations will be subject to change if the TYF guides deem the conditions on the day we intend to visit them unconducive for swimming. We have plenty of beautiful beaches on both sides of the peninsular so we can usually find somewhere else to swim if conditions are not good on a particular beach. The decision will be made on the day and we will go with whatever the guides advise.
