We love selling merchandise and seeing Bluetits wearing it fills us with joy but because we need to buy in small quantities we don't actually make a lot of money.
Get your Bluetit Dipper Dabbers out and get ready for eye's down - it's time for The Arctic Flappers Summer Challenge!
This summer's super-fun challenge is Bumper Bluetit Bingo! It's all about doing what we Bluetits do best - challenging our limits, together. All while having a proper giggle.
The challenge will start on June 5th 2023, and will run for 16 weeks until September 25th 2023.

How does it work?
When you enter, you'll get a Bluetit Bingo Card to download. This has 16 numbered spaces ready for you to add in your own weekly challenge. You'll have a list of ideas, everything from swimming at a new spot to swimming a mile!
Every Sunday, we'll post in the Arctic Flappers group AND send an email out to all participants, to let you know what number has been 'called' that week. Sian has all sorts of wacky ideas for ways to draw the numbers, so look out for some funny videos along the way. You will then complete whatever challenge is in that number box on your card!
Four spaces are already filled with challenges to complete at any time over the 16 weeks, and these are included in this summer's Add On Badge Pack, available to buy separately if you wish!
Your challenge entry includes:
- A fabric sew on challenge patch and a challenge pin badge (sent out when the challenge has finished)
- A Bluetit Bingo Card to set your challenges and track your swims (emailed to you upon entry)
- Membership of our amazing Facebook Group - The Arctic Flappers Challenge Group - quite possibly the happiest place on the internet.
Once you have paid your entry fee, look out in your inbox for all the info and a link to download your Bingo Card! In the meantime, head to the Facebook group by clicking here and answering the questions so we can let you in!
Please note we do not offer any refunds on challenges.

When does the challenge run?
The official start date of the challenge is June 5th 2023, and the challenge will run until September 25th 2023.
Do I have to complete all of the challenges?
Our challenges are all about encouraging you to get out there and enjoy the water in whatever way you can and feel able to. Yes, we're about challenging our limits together, but we are also about having fun! This challenge is yours to complete in any way you see fit, and you will receive your patch and badge at the end whatever happens!
Do I need to let you know when I've completed the challenge?
The patches and badges will be sent out automatically towards the end of the challenge, no need to let us know.
I've moved house since I entered, how do I let you know?
Email shop@thebluetits.co by September 1st, 2023 to notify us of any address change.
I've tried to get into the Facebook group but I've been declined. What's going on?
The only reason we would decline your request is that we can't find an entry under the email address or order number you provided. Double-check and try again!
When will I receive my patch?
The posting process will begin in September and will take us a bit of time, so please allow until October 31st to receive your patch before notifying us of a problem.
